Why I love it
Actionstep’s task feature is a valuable and useful tool for lawyers that helps to organise your day and ensures team collaboration. It also gives assurance that responsibility is being communicated within the organisation, which can be easily tracked through list views.
What it does
The tasks feature in Actionstep is an individual item of work that needs to be done by a specific person by a certain date (the “due date”). Tasks can be created manually or automatically. Some examples of tasks include “upload client identity documents”, “confirm that complaint has been filed with the court”, “send initial letter to prospect” etc.

How it makes a difference to law firms
The tasks feature within Actionstep is highly beneficial for law firms to record what was done, by who and when, ensuring all deadlines and completion of work is met, plus reminders can be created before the due date to ensure that staff have adequate time to do work. Overall, more effective communication and coordination are created between staff, leading to increased productivity and improved organisation.
